‘No ID, No entry’ policy remain in place in Zamboanga City

THE local police in coordination with Task Force Zamboanga maintained the strict implementation of the “No ID, No Entry” policy in Zamboanga City. Inspector Edwin Duco,

Inspector Edwin Duco, spokesperson of the local police, said the strict ID system remains in effect, particularly at the city’s entry points in the east coast (Licomo boundary) under Police Station 1 in Vitali, and in the west coast (Limpapa boundary) under Police Station 10 in Labuan.

“We are lucky enough that Zamboanga City’s area of responsibility, we have not discovered yet any wounded persons, be it hidden in residences or in transit,” Duco said.

This came after 13 wounded persons believed to members of the Maute Terror Group in Marawi were arrested while seeking treatment in a hospital in Pagadian City last week. “If there will be wounded persons, we will subject them to the kind of processes that will discover whether they came from a combat area or a conflict area or the result of the spillover of the Marawi conflict,” Duco added.
