Inspector Edwin Duco, spokesperson of the local police, said the strict ID system remains in effect, particularly at the city’s entry points in the east coast (Licomo boundary) under Police Station 1 in Vitali, and in the west coast (Limpapa boundary) under Police Station 10 in Labuan.

This came after 13 wounded persons believed to members of the Maute Terror Group in Marawi were arrested while seeking treatment in a hospital in Pagadian City last week. “If there will be wounded persons, we will subject them to the kind of processes that will discover whether they came from a combat area or a conflict area or the result of the spillover of the Marawi conflict,” Duco added.
