And another vote of confidence for the Philippines!
National Geographic recently listed our dear ol’ country as one of the 10 destinations that deserve more travelers.
“Outside the Sulu archipelago—which is under a U.S. government travel warning—the Philippines remains no less safe for travelers than many other destinations worldwide, and the country—so economically reliant on tourist trade—needs visitors,” NatGeo says of the Philippines.
Apart from recommending our ice-white beaches, NatGeo also mentions visiting the two-thousand-year-old rice terraces in Banaue and Batad, “UNESCO world Heritage sites each violently blindingly green.”
Other countries included in the list are Turkey, Egypt, Mongolia, and Haiti.
Earlier in the week, Palawan was once again voted the best island in the world by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.
