Highway Patrol Group intercepts carnapped vehicle in Pagadian

The Highway Patrol Group of Zamboanga del Sur has intercepted a suspected carnapped vehicle in Pagadian city last Tuesday.

HPG-9 Zamboanga del Sur Head Chief Inspector Dexter Diones described the unit as a black Toyota Fortuner 2007 model with plate number ZTH 783.

The vehicle was intercepted while troopers were conducting anti-carnapping operations along the national highway in barangay Tiguma.

Troopers spotted the vehicle with the initial violation of “No sticker for the current year.”

When the driver was questioned, he allegedly presented falsified documents of ownership with an address in Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat.

After checking the unit in the Motor Vehicle Management Information System, troopers found out that the vehicle is included in the list of alarm/stolen motor vehicles with alarm number 2009-0422-078.

Records revealed that the vehicle was forcibly taken by unidentified persons in Parañaque city on December 1, 2008.

The owner was identified as a certain J.Del Rosario of Mabitan, Quezon City.  The vehicle was driven by Denn Beatris when it was forcibly taken.

The vehicle is now impounded in Camp Abellon Pagadian city.
