A GUN slay suspect and his two companions were arrested in an anti-drug operation launched by the police in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, an official said Friday, November 4.
Senior Superintendent Sofronio Ecaldre, Zamboanga del Sur police director, identified the arrested suspects as Ahbar Salilama Abbas alias Bab, 27; Badroden Abo Allah alias Badz, 23; and, Saddam Dolonan Ampatu alias Dam, 23.
Ecaldre said the suspects were arrested in a drug bust around 12:10 a.m. Friday at Purok Makabibihag in the village of Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.
The police seized a sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu,” P200 marked money consisting of two P100 bills, a motorcycle, and prohibited drug paraphernalia.
Ecaldre said investigation showed that Abbas turned out to be one of the suspects behind the killing of Raul Ngoho on Sunday, October 30, at a pharmacy along Pulmones Street in the village of Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City.
Ngoho, a resident of the village of Mama, Dumalinao, was buying medicine when the suspect fatally shot him.
Ecaldre said the suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them.
