A GROUP of Davao artists will conduct a “Bangon Marawi” concert at 5 p.m., Friday, June 9, at Calle Cinco, Jose P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City to raise funds and show solidarity for the people of Marawi City. Eric Diao, who was among the local performers told SunStar Davao Thursday, that the concert will be attended by more or less 30 artists and groups including Popong Landero, Goto ALap, G4, Like 8, Jay L of Thavawhenyos, Nairudsa Wadab, Position 4 sale, Project Satellite, Siid Enahaya, Tortang Talong, Zoko Milk. “It is a humble contribution
“It is a humble contribution ng mga Davao artists,” Diao said. Along with the concert is also an art exhibit of Picuras and Guhit Pilipinas Elizabeth Fronda of Dipolog city, a singer for years in Kobe, Japan, said that her participation in the concert is a form of support for her fellow Filipinos.
“Gusto ko ring pong ipakita ang suporta ng kapwa Pilipino, nagkataon rin po nanandito ako sa Davao,” she added.
Meanwhile, Fronda is also endorsing her self-titled album which two songs are her original composition. Fronda said that the she had been based in Japan but she sometimes go back to Manila. Diao added that the concert is aimed to change the image of Martial law in Davao City.
