Renowned Kapamilya personality Atom Araullo has resigned from his duties as ABS-CBN news reporter for TV Patrol, Bandila, and ANC.
Nevertheless, Araullo will remain on the TV station’s morning show, Umagang kay Ganda, and Red Alert as a host.
This has prompted the reporter to resign from his post to prevent being coined as a biased reporter which could affect the integrity of the News Department.
However, Araullo refused to comment on the issue.
Lately, he has been voicing his opinion on several issues particularly on the burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at Libingan ng mga Bayani.
His resignation from his post will provide him the luxury of time to explore other opportunities. According to the report of Fashion Pulis, Araullo will use his time to complete his pending book projects, his interest in crafting independent films, and in writing a column in a major newspaper daily.
Araullo graduated from Philippine Science High School and University of the Philippines with a degree in Applied Physics. Both of his parents are activist during their era. Atom was a student activist during his college years and run as a student chair and garnered massive votes.
He started his early career in the broadcast industry as a host in 5 and Up. He then became a segment producer of ABS-CBN and eventually became a field reporter.
