6 soldiers wounded in a landmine planted by the NPA in Quirino province

Six wounded soldiers following the landmine eruption at 7 am in Sangbay, Nagtipunan, Quirino province.

The three wounded soldiers belonging to the 86th Infantry Batallion Philippine Army have yet to be identified.

The soldiers of the 86th Infantry Battalion conducted combat operations when they hit an explosive landmine in a village in Nagtipunan, Quirino.

The military’s pursuit continues with members of the New People’s Army who are responsible for planting landmines in the area.

On July 3, the rebel group also burned the five heavy equipment of a construction company in Maddela,a neighboring town of Nagtipunan in the same province.
