3 known drug personalities nabbed in Zamboanga

THE police authorities have arrested three known drug personalities, including a member of a drug syndicate, in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, an official announced Wednesday.

Senior Superintendent Edwin Wagan, Zamboanga del Norte police director, identified the arrested suspects as follows: Nur-hussein Banguih, 26, Rizabelle Neri, 23 and Richard Baldamor, 42.

Wagan said that Banguih and Neri were caught having pot session around 11:20 a.m., Tuesday, in the village of Suhaile Arabi, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

Wagan said Banguih is a member of the Banguih Drug Group, which is involved in the trade of illegal drugs in Siocon and in nearby areas.

Wagan said the two suspects also yielded ammunitions for caliber .45 pistol aside from illegal drugs.

Baldamor was arrested around 1:35 p.m., Tuesday, in a drug bust operation in the village of Nasipang, Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte.

Baldamor is included in the drugs watch list of the police in the municipality of Rizal.

Wagan said Baldamor has surrendered last July 12 but still continue his illegal drug trade.

The arresting team recovered from Baldamor’s possession P500 marked money, two heat-sealed plastic sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” and other illegal drug paraphernalia.

Wagan said that appropriate charges are to be filed against the suspects.
